About Kāren
Karen is a New Zealand born musician and a consulting astrologer.
Kāren offers ‘expansive openings’ for the heart and mind through Music and Astrology with interactive workshops, immersive sound journeys, music lessons and astrology readings.
Kāren’s musical soundscapes draw from her deep well of experience. She incorporates medicine songs, looper, guitar, voice, mandolin, drum, jaw harp and flute. Her podcast ‘Astro Musical Interventions’ features many of these atmospheric aural creations.
Each album in her collection has it’s own atmosphere and you can find rootsy songs, celtic dub, spoken word to ambient music.

Kāren earned a Masters of Music degree from the University of Auckland where she also taught on the Popular Music programme for several years as well as at M.A.I.N.Z Auckland campus ( Music and Audio Institute of New Zealand ).
Kāren has taught music in prison, youth clubs, community Arts festivals, music festivals, teachers training groups and facilitation courses.

Kāren has been a regular musical performer and workshop presenter on the New Zealand’s transformational festival circuit since the mid 2000’s. She has contributed to the festivals as a solo performer, workshop presenter, sound journey ceremonialist, founder of the band Ora.Vida.Life and accompanist for Matiu te Huki, Sarsha Hope, Redwood Reider and many others.
As a Zenergy Global trained Group Facilitator Kāren has provided facilitation services to core crew meetings at Luminate, Prana and Evolve.
